πυρός | πυτι

pu-ro | πυρό(ς) (puros) | wheat, triticum vulgare
Pylos “wheat tablets”
Due to the frequency of this reference on Pylian tablets, scholars assume an alternation of /l/ for /r/ and surmise Πύλος (Pulos) “Pylos”. However, pu-ro is often accompanied by ko-wo, which is found in χόω (khowo) “to bury”, a reference to sowing.
